about

This was recorded a long time ago, and it probably should have been released a long time ago, too.

lyrics

my daily routine can be a dangerous scene
pacing the streets and chasing what remains of my dreams
and going crazy cuz I can’t escape what I see
back to basics, activating scraps of paper with beats
refine the phrasing...find a way to make it repeat
I’m going crazy but I stay creative at least
at least that’s what keeps me sane enough to sleep these days
and I’m just grateful that I’m able to eat
...grateful that I’m able to explain what I see
write an album in the space of a week
and stay smiling in the face of the defeat
...then again, though, maybe that’s the crazy in me
it either fade to black, or Famous and Free
and I’m not even playing with the space in between
still, I need a safer way to believe
that any given day is what I make it to be
...human nature made me lazy and week
it also gave me all the strength that I need
to BE the change that I’ve been aiming to see
I need to crank one hundred eighty degrees
and be a more dangerous, creative emcee
...complaining is cheap
persuasion is what makes us believe
but if I don’t have that patience? I can fake at least
I keep the faith and keep on changing up my daily routine
so yeah...maybe it’s Springfield and maybe it’s me
either way, I’m sick of waiting to leave
